Kevin Conley

Our experienced team of recruiters is led by Kevin Conley, who has handled over five hundred recruiting assignments.  He is an entrepreneur and has run his own search firm for over fourteen years.  Mr. Conley began his recruiting career in 1985 with Russell Reynolds Associates and has lived and worked as a recruiter in New York, London and Boston.  He was on the Executive Committee at Korn Ferry, the largest search firm in the world where he ran the New England Region and on a stand-alone basis was the equivalent of the seventh largest search firm in America before founding Conley Search Group.  Mr. Conley earned a BA from Yale University and was Captain of Men's Ice Hockey.    

Mr. Conley donates twenty-five percent of his profits to diabetes research. From 2004 to 2010, he served as the Chairman of the Board of Trustees for the Joslin Diabetes Center, the largest independent diabetes center in the world and an affiliate of Harvard Medical School.

Cindy Kohlbry

Ms. Kohlbry has over 25 years of experience in financial services and executive recruiting.  Cindy is the founder and President of Executive Bridge, our affiliate in St. Louis.  She began her career as an investment banker in New York and London before starting her own search firm in her native St. Louis.  Cindy has worked with Conley Search Group since 2005.

A graduate of Smith College, Ms. Kohlbry is deeply involved in her community.  She is a founding board member of the Shakespeare Festival; she is a past president of the board of the Center of Creative Arts; currently serves on the boards of The Repertory Theatre; is a member of the Women’s Forum; and, serves on the advisory board for the Business and Technology School of Webster University.

Bill Cicchino

Mr. Cicchino has over 20 years of experience as a professional recruiter. He started his career as an associate in the New York financial services practice of Paul Ray & Co. before moving to Lamalie AMROP International where he was a partner and head of the NA Capital Markets and Investment Banking practice. In 1999, he and Kevin Conley founded The Westgate Group, a financial services boutique where he served as head of the New York Office. Mr. Cicchino holds an MA in Theological Studies from Drew University and a BA in Psychology from Saint Peter's College. 

Mr. Cicchino and his wife Elizabeth are active in the community and serve as a host family for DYFS, providing emergency foster care to inner city children throughout New Jersey. He is also the co-Founder and serves on the Board of Directors of the Peter M. Cicchino Social Justice Foundation

Marlene Berne

Ms. Berne has over 20 years of experience in financial services and executive recruiting.  Marlene is the President of Berne Advisors, Ltd., an executive search firm that she founded in 2003, specializing in recruitment for global and boutique investment banking firms and other financial services clients. Marlene has worked in executive search since 1994, starting with The Whitney Group before joining A.T. Kearney Executive Search as a Managing Director in 1999.

Previously, Marlene was a Vice President in Capital Markets and Corporate Finance at Kidder, Peabody & Company. Marlene earned a B.A. in Economics from Bucknell University and studied at the London School of Economics. She is a member of 100 Women in Hedge Funds, having joined at inception as a Charter Angel, and she works with several non-profits including the Cardiovascular Research Foundation and the America-Israel Friendship League.

Elaine Filimon

Ms. Filimon has more than twenty-five years of retained executive search experience, in which she has recruited senior executives in all functional disciplines including general management, technology, marketing and sales, finance, human resources, as well as boards of directors.  Her industry expertise spans nonprofit institutions, financial services, consumer products, telecommunications, healthcare, media/communications, and professional services.  She brings a comprehensive, research-focused search methodology developed over the course of her career to each new assignment.

As a Partner in the International Technology Practice of Heidrick & Struggles, Ms. Filimon served Fortune 500 clients as well as helped build management teams for emerging technology clients.  She previously spent time at Kenny, Kindler & Hunt, Canny Bowen and Ray & Berndtson in New York, where she served both domestic and global clients in the consumer/packaged goods and financial services industries.

Before entering executive search, Ms. Filimon held marketing and research positions with Random House and Time Inc.  She received a Bachelor of Arts degree in American Studies from the University of Delaware.
