Berne Advisors joins Conley Search Group network

New York, NY, (MARCH 22, 2013) --- Conley Search Group is pleased to announce that Marlene Berne, through her company Berne Advisors, Ltd., has become an affiliate of the Conley Search Group.   “Marlene and I first worked together in 1994.  She is one of the most successful recruiters in New York, and operates with the highest level of integrity and professionalism.  Marlene is a great friend and business partner, and we are pleased to have her join our network” says Kevin Conley, President & CEO of Conley Search Group.

In 2003, Marlene founded Berne Advisors, a recruiting firm specializing in corporate finance, mergers & acquisitions and restructuring as well as risk management, derivatives, capital markets and investment management. Berne Advisors’ experience in executive recruiting is complemented by advisory services for our clients, including strategic acquisitions, compensation, industry alliances, and other areas of human capital management.

Ms. Berne has worked in executive search since 1994, starting with The Whitney Group where she served as a Vice President, originating and executing searches for global financial services firms across a range of product specializations. In 1999, Marlene was recruited to join A.T. Kearney Executive Search, where she served as a Managing Director and spent the next four years building the firm’s global financial markets practice.

Prior to her career in executive recruiting, Marlene was a Vice President in financial services at Kidder, Peabody & Company. In 1982 she joined Kidder’s Financial Futures Department, and also worked in the Capital Markets and Corporate Finance arenas. She was part of a strategic team that developed and marketed specialized debt and equity-related products to Fortune 100 clients.

Marlene earned a B.A. in Economics from Bucknell University and studied at the London School of Economics. She is a member of 100 Women in Hedge Funds, having joined at inception as a Charter Angel.  Marlene serves on the Advisory Board of Xslaves.org, a student-led international organization, and she volunteers with several non-profits including the Cardiovascular Research Foundation and the America-Israel Friendship League.

Filimon Partners joins Conley Search Group network

Washington, D.C., (MARCH 28, 2013) --- Conley Search Group is pleased to announce that Elaine Filimon, through her company Filimon Partners, has become an affiliate of the Conley Search Group.  “I have known Elaine since we first worked together close to twenty years ago.  She is a trusted advisor to her clients and candidates and the consummate professional.  Over the years she has been both a close friend and mentor.  I know she will be a fantastic addition to our growing network.” says Bill Cicchino, Vice Chairman of Conley Search Group. 

Filimon Partners, LLC, is a boutique executive search firm founded by Elaine Filimon. The firm specializes in placing senior executives in top-tier companies and nonprofits nationally.  Elaine began her career in executive recruiting in 1983 with Kenny, Kindler & Hunt and Canny Bowen before joining Ray & Berndtson where she worked closely with Bill Cicchino.   She then was recruited to Heidrick & Struggles where she spent five years serving large multinationals, Fortune 500, and emerging technology clients out of the Washington DC office.  Elaine formed Filimon Partners in 2002. 

Prior to her search career, Elaine worked in marketing and research with Time Inc. and Random House.  She earned a B.A. in American Studies from the University of Delaware.
